Undocumented command - Jammer detected

I have a Cisco 1220 AP running IOS Version 12.2(15)JA with 3 clients connected. Ocassionally, the clients' connections will get really latent for a few seconds. Continuous pings from the clients to the AP show dropped packets and return times of 2,000 ms. I notice that the output of "show interface dot11Radio 0 statistics" is showing counts of "Jammer detected" that seem to conincide with the troubled wireless connection. I manage about 160 other access points that all show 0 "Jammer detected" statistics while this one has 842 Jammer detections since the last reboot 24 hours ago. Does anyone know what this statistic means?

Hello There,

The meaning of this statistic is:

Jammer detected

Number of times a RF source was jamming the signal

This radio interface had to retransmit the signal again. A jam comes from RF interference like a cordless phone, microwave oven, etc.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Aaron
