Upgrade from WCS Base to Plus Licence

Hi,

I purchased the Cisco WCS Base licence WCS-APBASE-50 however need the Plus licence.

Q1. If I purchase WCS-PLUS-UPG-50 will this give me the plus licence?

Q2. Once I purchase WCS-PLUS-UPG-50, how do I upgrade from my Base licence to Plus? Can you do this on the Cisco website?

Here is a link that helps explain the WCS license. WCS is EOS and NCS has taken that over. Prime Infrastructure replaces NCS:) what you should look at is the WCS to Prime Migration license. You will be able to keep you WCS license and have the plus which is built in with NCS. Plus they throw in a 25 license.

Answers below.

A1. Short answer is 'yes'.

WCS-PLUS-UPG-50 is the upgrade license which turns on the location tracking capatiblity & makes it a PLUS license.

Adding the WCS-PLUS-UPG-50 license, on top of a WCS-APBASE-50 license would make it a PLUS.

A2. It's automatic. Just need to add the upgrade-50 license to your existing BASE-50 license.
