Hello
I am trying to upgrade an AP with the following details from an Autonomous AP to Lightweight AP remotely via CLI as that is the only way I have access to the device.
sh inv
NAME: "AP1130", DESCR: "Cisco Aironet 1130 Series (IEEE 802.11a/g) Access Point"
PID: AIR-AP1131AG-E-K9 , VID: V06,
Version is
flash:/c1130-k9w7-mx.124-10b.JDA3/c1130-k9w7-mx.124-10b.JDA3
Is it possible to do it remotely via CLI? any process I need to follow?
Any advice will be most appreciated.
Thanks!

Yes it can be done remotely and EASILY.
First, go HERE and download the lightweight recovery file (the TAR file). Next, load the TAR file into the AP using the command "archive download-sw tftp://<TFTP IP address>/filename.tar".
Once the IOS is completely uploaded to the AP reboot the AP. The AP will soon load the recovery image and all you have to do next is plug the AP to your LAN segment where your WLC is.
