Hi I'm having a problem with my new Cisco AP 1572EC3-E-K9. I'm trying to use AIR-PWRINJ1500-2 to power it up and no LED light is showing on AP nor Switch Port for link activity. Power injector power led is on though. The cable is less than 40m from AP to injector and 1.5M from power injector to switch. Now I'm asking myself if Cisco AP 1572EC3-E-K9 and AIR-PWRINJ1500-2 are compatible? Please help how i can make it work

Thanks in advance

Here is the 1570 series data sheet.

Double check to make sure you have the cables plugged into the appropriate ports on your PoE injector. Make sure that the ethernet interface is enabled on the AP, make sure the switchport is enabled, lastly I would test the ethernet cable. If you have more than one of the PoE injectors and or APs I would swap it out for a 2nd one you may have recieved an RMA, although not common these things happen.

per the data sheet you are using the correct PoE injector. Here is it's data sheet.

Checking the Power Injector LEDs

You can use the power injector LEDs to assess the unit status. Two indications are available: solid green or dark. The LED descriptions are:

  • AP POWER—Turns solid green after successful discovery; indicates that power injector is supplying power to the access point.
  • FAULT—Turns solid red when a fault is experienced during discovery mode or power-up.
  • AC POWER—Turns solid green when power injector is receiving AC power and is ready to provide power to the access point.
