Using 50 ohm coax with 1400 bridge

I have 2 existing LMR 600 (50 ohm) cable runs to an antenna tower that are currently vacant. Can I use these in the place of 75 ohm coax to support an Aironet 1400 bridge?

No, you shouldn't.

I don't think you'll blow anything up, but the impedence mis-match will likely eat the little signal you'd get through.

You may be able to buy or build a balun (1.5:1), but again, you'd be losing up to ~1/2 your signal. Depending on the length of the run to the antenna, and the distance you need to cover, you might be able to squeak something through.

Good Luck

Scott
