Hi guys,
We are installing some 1600e with external dual band antennas model 2524v4c, as the antenna has four ports and the ap has only three, is there any recommended way to connect?
Any experiences¿?

The antenna can operate with three pigtails connected. You can leave the forth hanging around.

Any idea why you use this antenna ? It is a 2dbi/4dbi dual band antenna, but it has nearly the same characteristics as the internal antennas (also 2dbi/4dbi), so why use it ? And it has a heavy 500$ list price attached to it. I'am having a hard time finding a reason to buy this antenna.

When comparing devices that use antennas, such as Wi-Fi adapters or radios, there is always a choice to be made between internal and external antennas. While in operating principle there is no difference between the two, there can be significant practical differences. For your problem I can say that you can leave the forth one hanging around. It will not affect your performance.

As we have to avoid a metallic cealing and we were not allowd to install the aps below it, aesthetic issue, this was the compromise solution we reached with the customer.
