Virtual Wireless LAN Controller

On the controller under "Inventory" the "Maximum number of APs supported is set to 0 (zero). Attempts to set the max number to 200 or any number for that matter via the CLI has failed. The setup has been running for about 3-4 years now. Checks on the controller's Monitor Statistics under AP Join states reason for last unsuccessful attempt "Maximum number of AP supported has already joined". There are no licenses under the license apart from the evaluation license which has already expired.

Virtual Machine for the Controller was moved from one server to another around 8 weeks back.

Guessing this is a licensing issue but any help will be appreciated.

Did you set the license type to "RTU" unter Management -> Software Activation -> License type? After that you should be able to add  your licenses.
