Vlan 1 is typically not tagged, so that is similar to native vlan on a trunk port. If you create another vlan that is tagged, that would work, but not vlan 1.

Hi, Scott

For you Information, i have known this because old wireless System (Aironet 2800 WLC) can run VLAN 1 on an Native VLAN port, btw i cap this picture (below) when i try to enter VLAN 1 on Policy Profile for Guest (C9120ewc)

hope i guest an way to configure the same on C9120ewc

thanks,

So since you have experience with the Aironet gear, put the AP on vlan 1 and the guest said will work.

 - Try to avoid VLAN1 for wireless purposes (SSID/WLAN/Client Vlan) ; use another vlan
