Hi all,
I have an issues with a VM WLC running ver 7.4 in that I get dhcp from a central server for the SSID but once I have this I am not able to talk to the LAN. The wlc can ping devices on the LAN fine but the wireless clients can't. The clients can only seem to pint the wlc.
An ideas would be great. Thanks in advance.

Is the WLAN using your management network? If not, are you tagging or untagging the dynamic interace? Does the ESX VM network allow ALL VLANS 4095 and is your trunk port to the ESX host permitting this dynamic interfaces VLAN along with appropriate tagging for native/etc?

Hi David,
Thanks for the reply, I currently have the SSID set to the management interface.
I am going to redeploy the VM today to see if I have missed anything during the build. As the management interface can connect to the network and I can browse to the vm wlc fine.

Please also check ACL on the WLC, which is usually the issue for communication errors.

Please check basic routing and NIC teaming on VM.
Thanks.

Hi all,
The problem was due to the vm nice not being setup correctly for service port ad data port. This led to strange arp problems
Which was stopping traffic from traversing the LAN
