Voice chopping and call disconnection on Nortel phones

Recently, i migrated some 350 AP from WiSM-1 to cisco 5508 controller with 7.6.100.0 code version.

We have 300 nortel wireless phones that was working on old WiSM, now we are not able to hear anything and the calls always disconnecting.

It's looks like this phone model only supporting 802.11b data rates (which is not good at all for voice deployment).

http://www.bcm50.com/WLAN2211.php

Ideally voice deployment is recomended on 5GHz (802.11a).

Not sure whether you have configured wireless QoS properly & prioritise voice traffic in your network. Also in the first place check these phone classify traffic as EF (DSCP value).

With WiSM what version of AireOS software it had ? Make sure configuration migrated as it is.

Anyway post "show wlan <wlan-id>" output  & "show client detail 00:90:7A:05:6D:78" to check some of the configuration details.
