VPN Pass through problem

We have a client who wants to connect to his companies VPN Server. However he is unable to get a connection, just says it's refused. Each client is connected via a SmartBridges AirBridge to the local Cisco Aironet 1220 Series AP. Each client has a public, static IP, and the aironets terminate onto a switch which is plugged into the border router ( - FreeBSD 4.8 STABLE - using static routing - simple setup). We have no port blocking, or any other filtering in operation. All other traffic passes through fine, but VPN stuff doesn't. We've tested the Airbridge CPE with another make of access point (SendFAR) and a consumer grade Linksys WAP11b - both pass traffic without incident. Any ideas? Is there an issue with the Aironet AP's (All run 12.0T1 IOS) ?

Many Thanks

Colin.

Is the VPN a cisco VPN? If so, first update to the latest client that is not version 4 (3.6.6). Second, Make sure if they are running XP that the Microsoft Firewall is turned off for the wireless NIC. It interferes with the client.
