WCS Maps - Heat Signatures on multiple floors

I have a APs setup in my 11 story building on all the even floors starting with floor 2.  I have added the maps for all 11 floors into a building setup in our WCS.  However I am not seeing the heat signatures on the odd floors in which I would expect to see them after putting in the right dimensions in the building/floor config(s).  Is there something I am missing in order for the heat signatures to show up on the odd floors from the even floor APs?  Below is info on my equipment/software:

WCS 6.0.170.0

AP TypeCAPWAP
AP ModelAIR-LAP1252AG-A-K9
IOS Version12.4(23c)JA

Thanks in Advance!

To set a maximum to the AP height I think, which in turn is used to modify the heatmap considering that heatmaps are at ground level.

Hi Jeremy,

heatmaps are not calculated in 3 dimensions. WCS can't know your floor height, neither the attenuation of the floor so it can't compute on a floor the heatmaps of APs placed on other floors.

Hope this clarifies.

So what is the purpose of the WCS asking for floor height then?

To set a maximum to the AP height I think, which in turn is used to modify the heatmap considering that heatmaps are at ground level.
