Anyone running WCS on Windows server 2008 R2? If not, does anyone know if or when it will be supported? We are trying to upgrade all of our 2003 servers and this is one of the last apps needed to upgrade. thanks

Hi,
WCS is not supported on Windows 2008, last is on 2003. We are coming with a appliance for WCS from now on!!
Please let me know if this answered ur question!!

Surendra, are we sure there won't be a possibility to install it on Vmware ? I don't have all the details of this new WCS but the new appliances from Cisco have a tendancy to also be installable on VMware, which removes the need for Windows OS version support.

Nicolas,
Yes we will be coming up with Virtual Appliance as well but for lower end.. (suporting max 500 to 1000 APs and etc) but not for dense deployments..

Hi Surendra,
Questions are rising up about the WCS on windows 2008. Is it compatible? if yes, on which WCS software version?
Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

The answer is the same. There will be no new WCS software after the 7 branch so most likely no Win2008R2 support.
The new sofwtare is NCS and can work on VMware (linux-based) or appliance.
