Hi,

Q>> which one is better, Whether wcs on a Windows server or on Linux

ANS - Both of them are better and both doesnt have any issues.. if yo uhave a Linux machine then you can use the one which runs on LINUX if not we do hav that runs on Windows as well.

Q>> Is there an Linux appliance for WCS?

ANS - We do hav both here is the link from one of the versions.. where in,

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=279705270&softwareid=280926613&release=7.0.164.3&rellifecycle=ED&relind=AVAILABLE&reltype=latest

WCS-STANDARD-K9-7.0.164.3.bin  >> > isfor LINUX

and

WCS-STANDARD-K9-7.0.164.3.exe >> For Windows.

Q>> What are the pros and cons between the two?

ANS - There is no PROS and CONS apart from the Active Bugs which are presentr in the release.. you can verify the same by goint to the respective release notes!!

lemme know if this answered your question..

To the question "are they any appliances". The answer is "no. I think Surendra missed the core of the question :-)

WCS is only a software available for Windows or Red Hat. No hardware available at all.

We are moving to the Linux version because everytime the Windows server team do some patching the WCS goes offline.
