Hi Saurav,
There is a 30 Day Demo license for the WCS.
This good doc should get you started;
This Cisco Wireless Control System (WCS) licensing and ordering guide presents ordering guidelines for new Cisco WCS SKUs and licensing information for existing Cisco WCS deployments that are being upgraded to support Cisco Unified Wireless Network Software Release 4.1. This guide includes information on buying new or expansion Cisco WCS licenses, migrating from CiscoWorks Wireless LAN Solution Engine (WLSE) to Cisco WCS, upgrading to the Cisco WCS Location option, and deploying the free Cisco WCS Demonstration License.
From this good doc;
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6305/products_data_sheet0900aecd804b4646.html
To request the free Cisco WCS Demonstration License, visit
http://www.cisco.com/go/license or
https://tools.cisco.com/SWIFT/Licensing/PrivateRegistrationServlet.
A free 30 day, full featured evaluation copy of WCS for 10 AP support can be downloaded on Cisco.com. Please note that you will be prompted to enter your contact information and the hostname of the WCS server you would like to install the license on so plan on having that information in front of you prior to the download. The download will then generate a license file that you will be emailed. Following are the instructions to download 30 day WCS evaluation software :
1). https://tools.cisco.com/SWIFT/Licensing/PrivateRegistrationServlet.
2). Navigate to Network Mgmt Products
3). Look for Wireless Control System
** The WCS Demo Software is NOT supported by the Cisco Technical Assistance Center.
Hope this helps!

Hi Rob
Thanks for your reply, i have downloaded the license before i got your response.
But i am confused as do i need to install both WCS and WCS Navigator on a Windows 2003 machine.
Which version of WCS i will dowload so that the demo license support for that.
Any specific version or the demo license support all the releases.
Thanks and Regards
Saurav

Hi Saurav,
Rob gave you an excellent and very detailed answer as per his usual. A "5" from here in NYC.
As for your followup question, no you don't need the WCS Navigator.
According to CCO, "It supports partitioning of the unified wireless network at the management level. It supports up to 20 Cisco WCS management platforms with manageability of up to 30,000 Cisco Aironet lightweight access points from a single management console. It runs on a server platform with an embedded database."
If you are just running a demo of WCS the Navigator would be overkill. Take it one step at a time and let the forum know if you ever do try out the WCS Navigator. We are always interested in stories regarding new Cisco products like this one.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Paul
