Web Auth Redirection in 8.0.100.0

Hi Team;

               I have two controllers, one is 4400 and the other one is 5500. Before the upgrade the redirection was working fine. We have upgraded 4400 to 7.0.250.0 and 5508 to 8.0.100.0.

After the upgrade redirection is working only with 4400 controllers. If we move the AP to 5500 redirection is not working. we are using external web authentication

Please let me know if anyone faced issues related to the webauth redirect.

Hi Sreejith,

There are few bugs in 8.0.100.0 code related to webauth,  see whether you are hitting one of these.

CSCuq97267 - Anchor clients not able to see custom webauth page; SSL to WLC GUI fails

Symptom:
Errors similar to the following are logged:
#EMWEB-3-WEBAUTH_RESPONSE_HANDLE_NOT_FOU: ewmain.c:1526 Handle not found for webauth login request response.
#EMWEB-3-READ_ERROR: webauth_redirect.c:1238 read error on server socket, errno=104
[ERROR] ewmain.c 5637: emweb internal error - handle not in Handle table
[ERROR] ewmain.c 3190: EmWeb: Handle table overflow @3190

At the same time, end clients are not able to hit web-redirect page. The page would either error out or client sees the virtual IP address in address bar.
Or, browser connection attempts to the WLC GUI time out.

Workaround:
wait a few minutes and retry.

Get the 8.0MR1 pre-release from TAC & see if that fix your issue
