Experts need your comments for a solution here.

I have my wireless network with controller based in admin building, however, I am looking to deploy an standalone Access Point to connect the network on other building and my wireless clients can connect the same netwok. Now, I don't have wire fiesibilty to connect two buildings + as I am using more than one region in WLC so, cannot use bridge mode, WGB I don't find any document cisco mentioned wireless clients can be connect to the WGB access point.

Can I use the standalone access point as repeater? but, my existing network is all LAP based.

I have searched the options in WLC I don't find the LAP can run on repeater mode.

Any solution for the same?

Hello,

If you want to connect 2 buildings you would be interested in doing a PtP link. You can do this with the new 1532 in autonomous mode if you if you link and not us the controller.

Hello George,

Thanks for the view however, the LAP side wireless clients use to connect on the AP. And if I, convert it to standalone mode than the users will be having seamless issue. As rest all AP will be LAP!!

Please suggest an idea!!

Thanks //

I'm sorry but I'm confused ..

You have a building that you want to connect via wireless right ?

if this is the case bridge the two buildings and then deploy yiur controller aps in the building ..

Hello George,

Bridge is not possible as I am configured the WLC using more than one region.

Thanks//

Yes it is possible. You do the bridge as autonomous bud.
