I'm trying to improve speeds on my wireless network. Right now I'm getting the following:
(these are the best results in a 5 test trial)
Download: 101.58 Mbps
Upload: 91.27 Mbps
After launching a wifi spectrum analyzer type app on my phone, it gives me suggestions that certain SSID's would be more efficient if the AP were broadcasting through different channels. It will be a pain to have to log into every single AP and adjust the channels accordingly. Is there a way to tell the controller to choose the best channel for each AP? And what command do I use to see what channel is being used on an AP?

Hi @wrainwater
You can see the channel by issuing the command show ap channel "AP".
WLC runs an algorithm called DCA (Dynamic Channel Assignment ) and it is expected that this Algorithm is able to find the best channel for each AP.
Of course the algorithm is not perfect but it does the job. Control each AP individually for a large network is not possible. After all, if you look at the App again few hours later, this might ask you to put the AP in a different channel as Wifi spectrum is highly dynamic. So the best thing to do is trust on the WLC.
There are best practices that can help you like to have CleanAir capable APs and enble EDRRM to permit WLC react fastly.

Thanks. Unfortunately the show ap channel "AP".command isn't taking on my controller. I may have to google it to figure out what will take it. I have the 5760 model of the wireless controller

If you have web interface, it will be easier. You probably can find it.
Here something to help you.
show ap dot11 { 24ghz | 5ghz } { channel | coverage | group | load-info | logging | media-stream | monitor | network | profile | receiver | service-policy | summary | txpower | ccx global }
