What is the difference between configuring backup controllers using the command "config ap secondary-base" and the command "config advanced backup-controller primary/secondary"

I am in the process of upgrading Cisco 2504 WLC from 8.2.166.0 to 8.5.135.0.

In doing this I have seen in many places, the command "config advanced backup-controller primary/secondary" is used before the upgrade.

Please be kind to explain me the use of this and it's difference to "config ap secondary-base" command.

Config advances is a global command to tell the ap the secondary controller since it’s already joined to the primary. The config ap overrides the global configuration as you would define the primary, secondary and tertiary.
