what's the effect of changing E plane in omni-directional antenna?

Hi buddies,

I want to do wireless planning with cisco prime infrastructure. I choose AP 2702-ٍٍٍٍE with ANT-2544 as my desired AP.

because it's a omni directional antenna the azimuth parameter is meaningless to set but I dont understand what the E plane degree is?

If I suppose the head of antenna is pointing to ground which degree should I set for it? may anybody explain it for me?

BR,

Majid

Given it's an omnidirectional, you generally wouldn't be adjusting the elevation value since your antenna would most likely be in a standard vertical orientation.  If you set the omni on it's side (not suggested) the you could use 90 degrees, etc.

With other types of antennas you may need to adjust both azimuth and elevation for downtilt and direction.

The solution of downtilt is not possible in an omni antenna because of the nature of its radiation pattern.
