Which methods to use?

Hi,

we have implemented a Cisco ACS, and have a Microsoft Active Directory implementation.

I would like to know what is the best security method to use for authentication and encryption

without the need to buy any Certificate or client software?

We would like to use the standard Microsoft Windows XP features, without installing any WLAN Clients.

With Windows XP, you can use PEAP in a wireless network. You need to install a certificate in ACS. It can be a self signed certificate or one from a trusted root(less then 200$/year). You also need to enable MS-PEAP method in ACS. Be aware that windows XP connection manager doesnt work well in overlap zone. It will always take the first access point found and not the strongest.
