Hi, I configure DHCP at Cisco switch 3560 as the below show some relative configuration. AP1140 is connected to the switch port. but AP cannot get ip address. From the AP console, we can see "%CAPWAP-3-DHCP_RENEW: Could not discover WLC using DHCP IP. Renewing DHCP IP" WLC is connected to the switch via trunk

Also, I tried configuring internal DHCP of WLC, but it still cannot work. Anyone can give some suggestion? Thank you

Post " show capwap client rcb" output

Have this AP previously configured & working condition ? those 0.18 sub-interfaces indication it is in H-REAP mode AP. If you do not care AP configuration, you can try below

LAP#debug capwap console cli
LAP#erase /all nvram:
LAP#reload

here are output:

Since it is H-REAP you can try below configuration of your switchport that connect to this AP

interface GigabitEthernetx/x
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk native vlan 10
switchport mode trunk
spanning-tree portfast trunk
If that does not work, you have to erase you config of the AP and put the switchport back to access mode.

I erased it twice, now see below

Ok,now it is in Local mode. Now configure below

AP#capwap ap primary-base Cisco_68:ca:03 10.1.1.9

Switchport configuration should be in access mode in vlan 10

HTH

Rasika
