Why in WCS you need to remove "plus" licenses to order to add another "base" license?

We have WCS and 3502 AP and we are having problems with the licenses add on.

First we Installed the Base license (100 AP), than we Installed the Upgrade to Plus upgrade (100 AP Plus)

When we tryied to add another base licenses the WCS send error that you "can‘t add base license to WCS that has Plus license".

To solve the problem we removed the plus license, install the new base license, and then reinstall the plus license.

Is this is a bug?  what is the procedure on that case?

Hi Oded,

NO this is not a buggy behaviour..

Since you have already have PLUS licenses installed, BASE licenses are not compatible anymore. Only a upgrade from BASE to PLUS is allowed. You will have to get PLUS licenses instead of the BASE licenses. Please reach out to your Cisco account manager and they should be able to provide you with the correct PLUS licenses for your access points.
