Dear All:
Scenario is we have three buildings out of three 2 buildings contain autonomous Access Point and One building contain WLC.
the management and user ssid vlan is same in all the buildings. But when end user connect with User SSID and pings its own gateway is show latency.
Kindly help me in this is very urgent.
Thank You

Are you using super sensitive apps?
I have over 6,000 clients / 3,000 aps and work in a hospital with hundreds of applications. Most of which are used over wifi devices like CoW and handhelds. We expereince betwen 5 - 80 ms and arent having any issues.

Lets be clear latency and bits per seconds are two different things. And 300 PHY rate doesnt mean 300 megs of throughput, rather it means you are sending 300 million bits per transmission.

In "Local" mode .... windows reports 3 hours and 45 min for the same copy. Still connected at 300Mbit/s
12-10-2012 09:54 AM
is that right ? Yea somethin is wrong for sure. Is your interface on the swicth and wlc configured properly ?

Agree, but this is a one Client one AP one Controller one Server setup
12-10-2012 09:58 AM
ok, so the 2504 has a backplane issue, You don't get full Gig speed out of it, you only get about half.
If you are running 7.3 you can utilize LAG on the 2504 to get Gig throughput
HTH,
Steve

I am not even close to half gig :-)

I agree you should still see more than you are seeing now.
Just double check your interfaces so we can rule that out. You dont see any errors on the switch and the interafces are clean and not bouncing

It's the exact same setup. Only change is "Local" and "flexconnect". Ping from a wired client to controller and ap is always under 1 ms
12-10-2012 10:06 AM
If i remember correctly (from the bathroom reading) 1 gig should be possible with 7.4.
No real reason to enable LAG :-)
12-10-2012 10:11 AM
But a hint to MuhammadSaad ... try flexconnect.
I will probably try to reset to factory default tomorrow.

Hmmmm ... You're using a 1242?
What antennas are you using? And how many antennas are installed?
12-11-2012 06:53 AM
Disable 40mhz... Also LAG on the 2504 is on the 7.4 not the 7.3. Don't restore the configuration... Build it from scratch. I had an issue with 40mhz and the Intel 62xx with driver version 14. Version 15.x fixed the issue.
