WiFi passive survey tool

Hi,

Is there a free 'WiFi Passive survey' available. The purpose is simply to get an idea about the number of APs required for an installation.the

I know there are tools like this is available in the market where all you have to do is put in the room map in the tool/application and the application will provide you the high level AP counts.

Please provide name and OR website address of the tool

Assuming each access point will provide good coverage to a circle of 30m in diameter.  That will give you a reasonable count quite quickly.

There is no free version that does passive survey.

Not really much for free as far as a planner tool. You can survey part of a site to see your coverage with some free tools you can load on your phone or laptop.
