Will the change of interface parameters on a WLC disable ALL WLANs?

Hi,

I would like to add a new interface to our Cisco WLC5508 controller and see the following info when I want to apply the new settings for the just created interface:

"Changing the Interface parameters causes the WLANs to be temporarily disabled and thus may result in loss of connectivity for some clients"

Does this affect ALL WLANs on the controller even if they use different interfaces than the one I want to change parameters from? Or does this only affect WLANs tied to the interface in question so I can safely apply the settings?

Thanks

Michael

Only wlan's tied to that interface. So basically if you change an existing interface it will temporarily affect a WLAN tied to it.

Hi Scott,

I agree with you. I just did it on my WLC 5508 and it works as you said.

Thanks
