Hi
I have installed an Cisco access point that is connected to a Cisco power invertor.
The status light is contantly pink with on other green lights.
I read somewhere that the AP needs 56 watt of power. Are the POE convertors able to aupply this?

What type of AP did you install? If it's a 1552 then yes it needs that much power. If it's one of the indoor AP, it only requires 15.4w.

Thanks for your reply Stephen.
I have a AIR-AP1242AG-E-K9
Cisco Aironet 802.11 Access Port
What power would I need for this?

Hi Jayesh,
AP1242 would requires at least 12.94W at 48 VDC. Just check on the AP console, if you are able to see any logs there for the bootup process.

This would take either POE from a switch, or a pwrinj3
