Wireless Clients are Re joining WLAN every certain time - WLC 9800

Hello

I'm configuring a new 9800 from Zero and I created two WLANS, one for laptops and one for celphone, where each one have access to Internet. The problem I'm seeing is that my Clients connected to Cellphone WLAN are re joining the same WLANS every certain time.

In my case I join my cellphone to the WLAN adn I use the internet and them turn off the screen and maybe after 10 minutes I turn on my cellphone's screen and I can see that the cellphone is using my 4G Line and immediately changes to the cellphone WLAN...... Any Idea about this?  In my WLAN Clients I don't see that problem.

I don't know why I think that the problem is related with WLAN Timeout under Policy Porgile. Any Idea about the correct time out for  Session Timeout (sec), Idle Timeout (sec) ,Client Exclusion Timeout (sec)

Device connectivity depend on the device almost completely.

In your case, it seems that when you turn off the screen on the smartphone, the device is disabling all radios in order not to drain the battery instead of entering a reduced power mode listenning only for the packets been directed to his MAC. When you turn your screen on, it enabled the Wi-Fi radios back again and scan for previously know and preferred WLAN and joins again.

Have you tried to ping the device's IP address while in the idle state?

Unfortunatelly, this is something that is the manufacturer's hands and there is no way to do anything unless any new update on the device's OS fix it.
