Wireless Controller -- Monitoring Dashboard

The Main Dashboard, Introduced in WLC Release 8.1 can be very useful; even for reports much better than the ones in Prime Infrastructure BUT .......

Where is the definition of the values, intervals, and sampling ????

Network Summary

--- TOP WLANs

  • USAGE ( What is the interval last 3 , 6, 12 , 24 hours ???? )   I think it is since the power on of the controller . Can it be reset to Zero?

--  Access Points Dashlet

  • USAGE  ( What is the interval last 3 , 6, 12 , 24 hours ???? )  I am almost sure it is the bytes usage since the power on of the AP. Can it be reset to Zero?
  • Throughput  (how is it calculated ???? )

Can anyone provide these answers , or a Reference Document about the dashboard?

The Dashboard takes real-time sampling and compiles/holds the values for the entire uptime of the controller.  The only way to reset the values is to reboot the controller.

Also, the historical information is since the controller was booted. Not very pretty and no way to reset those, besides a reboot of the WLC.
Same issue in 8.2 sadly :(
Also sorting is not correctly working under clients. If you sort by transmitted data, it mixes up MB, GB, .... :(
