wireless controllers and access points

Dears

it might be a stupid question to ask but just making sure before i answer to the customer request,

one of the customer he asked me that  a video endpoint registers to any  third party video call processing server by a SIP protocol similar in such way do we have something in wireless the customer is looking for a controller cisco or another vendor wireless controller who can accepts any vendor access point or vice versa.

please share your ideas.

short answer NO - not that I am aware of since everyone has their own concept and technology behind following RFC/ IEEE Standard.

I don’t know any wireless vendors that support another vendors access point. Seems like they want to go a cheap route.
