What is the trick to get the map editor to understand that a wireless signal on the 2nd floor can be used by people on the 1st and 3rd floors?

Unfortunately it's only a 2D feature, WCS map coverages doesn't consider signals that come from other floors.

Perhaps that's something that should be considered for future versions. Even if you have APs on every floor, you are going to get signal penetration. The way that it is now, the heat maps aren't as accurate as they could be.
