wireless packet losss and latency

Hi

We will soon be migrating to 2600 aps but the occasional losses and high latency is causing a delay in the implementation plans of new antennas

When I m downloading 100 Mbps file from Internet it seems to affect my pc performance , seems not just me but other people as well in the office
The moment download finishes latency disappears

Somehow I believe this is coming from radio my intel seems to connect on g although n is supported

We are using 5508 controller with 1142 n

How do I start trouble shooting

In order to get 802.11n speeds you have to use either Open or WPA2/AES as L2 security. In addition to that you have to enable WMM under WLAN->QoS section. It can be set either "Allow" or "Required"

Keep in mind, if you set it to "Required" then non-WMM capable client cannot join your WLAN. So in your environment if you have mixed client then better to leave that option as default which is "Allow"
