This is one of those it depends on the building itself answers, factors like square footage, surrounding environment, and construction. In most deployments like this, one AP is used per floor. APs do have vertical coverage that can cover more than one floor but this not recommend as signal quality is not consistent enough for dependable service.
So depending ;) one AP per floor,with these Ap plugged into a switch/layer 3 device connect to the internet. WLAN is a perfect solution for many buildings.
Your site survey will tell you exactly how many AP you will need for coverage and power levels for each AP. Hope this helps.
