We have a 5508 controller, one WLAN, and all of our internal wireless goes through that. We are looking into starting a guest WLAN. The internal wlan goes through one VLAN. What is going to be the best way to set up the guest wlan? I am assuming that I may need to provide more information, so just let me know.
Thanks!

Create a new VLAN for the guest network, and ACL the hell out of it so that it can only get to the internet, and nothing internal. Trunk it to the WLC
Create an interface on your WLC in this new VLAN.
Create new WLAN and select the new 'guest' VLAN interface.
Test.

Steve

Hello Jayson,
As per your query i can suggest you the following solution-
Complete these steps in order to configure the devices for this network setup:
1.Configure Dynamic Interfaces on the WLC for the Guest and Internal Users
2.Create WLANs for the Guest and Internal Users
3.Configure the Layer 2 Switch Port that Connects to the WLC as Trunk Port
4.Configure the Router for the Two VLANs
For more information please refer to the link -
