Hello! we have a Cisco 2504 Wireless LAN Controller, software version 7.0.220.0; and a Air CAP1602E-A-K9 Access Point.
Are these devices compatible with each other? I configured the AP with IP; Gateway and Controller IP. Ping is OK but WLC doesn´t detect it.
Regards

Hello! we have a Cisco 2504 Wireless LAN Controller, software version 7.0.220.0; and a Air CAP1602E-A-K9 Access Point.
Not compatible. The controller must be running a minimum of 7.4.100.X to support the AP.
Kindly read the Release Notes so you'll be able to determine if legacy AP models are supported with the newer codes or not.

Thank you! we updated the software version to 8.0.140.0, since is the last compatible software with some previous APs that we have (1131 and 1242).
Regards!
