WLC 2504 Ethernet Port

We have a 2504 WLC, specifically for our guest network, with 2 AP's connected to it.  There is still one open port on the front of the controller, and were trying to utilize it as a wired connection into the guest network.  However, whatever device we connect to that port, can't reach the internet.  The status light comes on, and we see the port go from red to green in the web interface.  Or is this not a usable port unless it is an access point or management interface?

Ideally you should connect these port to a network switch.

No end devices suppose to connect to these ports (including APs). Here is the deployment guide of this product
