Hi ,
I'm planning to upgrade our WLC 2504 from 7.2.111.3 to 7.4.100.0
but the cisco site says
"WLC Version 7.4.100.0 will need Prime Infrastructure Version 1.3 to be managed, Version 1.3 is not yet available to download at this point of time"
Is it something about NCS? we have only 1 cisco WLC 2504 and 6 1142APs..
Also let me know is it possible to go directly from 7.2 to 7.4 ?
Thanks

yes, you can upgrade directly to 7.4 from where you are.
The note about NCS 1.3 is for those that have many WLC and are using NCS to manage them. As you have only one WLC, the point is moot.

Its mandatory to have at least FUS 1.7 when on 7.2 or 7.3. With v7.4 came the FUS 1.8 which replaces 1.7. Its mandatory after you upgrade.
To verify:

Just to add, make sure you upgrade the FUS to 1.8 unless you already installed 1.8.

Field Upgrade Software (FUS), Release 1.8.0.0
Is it mandatory before upgrading 7.4? how to check whether it has been installed already? and the version?

Everything went well, except a long downtime after FUS 1.8 upgrade until reboot.

The FUS takes around 35 minutes to complete. That is normal.

Just noticed only 4 APs are back out of 6.
we have 1142 model APs. Check those 2 and one is blinking green and the other one has totally off.
any idea?

Console into the AP and see what is going on.
