Dear All,
I have a flexconnect local switching setup.
When I checked the speed of the internet from the wired client , I am getting 12 to 15 Mbps, now when I am checking using a wireless client I am getting like 5 to 7 Mbps. Its almost half.
Is it expected when using Flexconnect?
APs used : 1600
WLC : 5508
version : 7.4 110
No. of APs : 42
I can see lots of traps for interference adjustments.
Kindly advise.
Thank you

1) Get us "show client detail
2) How did you test the speed .. can you provide a brief about it.
Was the destination PC over the WAN
3) Try this test setup and measure the throughput.
a) Wired client to another Wired Client on the same L3 boundary.
b) Wireless client to Wired Client on the same L3 boundary.
4) You may also use IPERF tests to get more accurate results.

What is the signal strength of the client?
What is the data rates negotiated with the wireless client?

The signal strength is excellent.
The negotiated data rate, I am not much sure about it.
It shows 54 in the status any how.

The negotiated data rate, I am not much sure about it.
The Data Rate negotiated by the client (to the AP) and the RSSI can be found in Clients.

I will check that and update.

Marking this as the correct answer was by mistake. dunno how to unmark it..
Anyways,
1) Will do the testing tomorrow and get back
2) I am testing the speed of the internet. using speedtest website
Its not the LAN speed what I am testing, just the internet speed. We have a bandwidth of 16 Mbps, which I am getting using wired, and I am getting only the half of it.

It's kind if tough to try to measure internet speed from a wireless device especially comparing it to a wired machine. When we test wireless, I will test the LAN. If that fine then I know it's good. The internet can be an issue with your routing, how many users are in the wireless, etc. The wired side is full duplex, wireless is half duplex, so the more clients the less throughout you will have. Do a traceroute and make sure it's taking the same route out.

HI Guys, have a similar speed problem with flexconnect AP. The wireless speed only shows 72Mbps. i have read that the authentication should be WPA2 in order to get greater speeds and i have the Wireless LANs with WPA2 Auth. The speed still shows 72Mbps. how can i increase. These are Cisco CAPWAP 2602i access points.
Thank you,
Arjun

Please check that your client supports multiple streams so you can actually achieve data-rates higher than 72Mbit/s. If that is the case, what are the SNR and RSSI values of your client device on the WLC? (CLI: "show client detail MAC").
