Hello all
WLC 8.8 added a new AVC protocol, called "default-class":
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/8-8/config-guide/b_cg88/wireless_quality_of_service.html#d155018e19153a1635
In truth it's actually called "class-default" found under the category "other" on 8.8.120.0 on my WLC 3504.
Anyway, as far as I understand it, for the AVC priority correctly working, I have to create a profile, add some protocols, assign it to some SSID and set its QoS profile to Gold. That would allow Gold marked protocols to actually use Gold (although I'm not entirely sure about the last point).
So by setting the SSID to Gold, some specific voice applications to Gold and the class-default to Silver, this should now correctly put all not previously classified applications to Silver, while giving the specific Gold applications a tad more priority/time?
Is my assumption here correct? The documentation is a bit sparingly in that area.
Thanks
Patrick
