WLC 9800 as DHCP server for ocally switched VLAN

Hi guys,

is it possible use wlc 9800-CL release 17.4.1 as dhcp server for ssid in remote branch localyys witched?

I cannot use SVI ip address because:

1) SSID are locally switched

2)same ssid are replicated  in several branch office with local subnet off course

3) wlc are in a dedicated datacenter

Please le me know

as per my understanding i have to use external dhcp server as centralized server solution

Locally switched, you place traffic at that site subnet, so why do you have an svi on the controller?  You just need to specify the vlans for the FlexConnect and use the external dhcp server you use for the wired side also.  I would not use the controller for dhcp at all, but that is my opinion.  Have you looked at the FlexConnect guide and read through it?  That explains what and how you would need to deploy it.
