WLC 9800 not showing configuration tabs

Hi All,

We have installed new WLC 9800 and new access points 9130 series. Tested all SSIDs successfully.

In order to replace old WLC 3500, we updated IP address of new 9800 but when it came up, we can only see 2 tabs Dashboard and Monitoring on the left plane. No configuration tab , access points or SAVE button on top row present.

After checking console o CLI, the configuration is available with all SSID and profile, AP tag everything is present on CLI -show run.

What might have caused this issue? Has anyone faced this, please advise.

Thank you.

 -  You may start with  reviewing the 9800   configuration with the CLI command : show  tech   wireless , have the output analyzed by  https://cway.cisco.com/tools/WirelessAnalyzer/  , please note do not use classical show tech-support (short version) , use the command denoted in green for Wireless Analyzer.               Checkout all advisories!

             - Also note that the gui-user must have all admin privileges :

Create a (new) user from CLI console

username test privilege 15 secret test

enable secret test

!

ip http server (recommended to disable if you are not using any web auth)

ip http secure-server

ip http authentication local

!

then login to GUI using the newly created credentials.

I would also suggest trying with different browsers and also disabling any extensions on the browser.

Also note that if you have any authorization enabled for HTTP logins, try after disabling that as well. If you are planning to use authorization, please make sure that you read the documents to understand the limitations of that feature in 9800's.
