Hello,

Can I use a WLC 9800L running 17.9.4 as a DHCP server for multiple sites (each site has to have different IP ranges) ? if so how to configure it.

Are you planning to use flexconnect? Ideally works best to use the routers/ switches at the local site to do the DHCP for them

I would never recommend anyone use the 9800 as a DHCP server because the CPU and memory are fragile due to buggy software.

you can make WLC proxy the dhcp from site not use it as dhcp local server 
and you need to run dhcp central for flexconnect

Thanks for all the info. We decided to use it as a DHCP server for only one site. The remaining sites will use IP helper for a regular DHCP server.
