WLC and AP not connecting

rramnath1
Community Member

I am new to the Cisco environment and have a WLC 2504 and AP2702 to setup on my network. I have thus far configured the WLC to the following:

ip: 192.168.0.100 / 255.255.255.0 / 192.168.0.2  on the Management interface that is on the same settings with the employee VLAN.

I can NOT airprovisiion the WLC and the AP and when I connect via the controller I get the following error: "Mar 1 00:05:04:095: %CAPWAP-3-DHCP_RENEW: Could not discover WLC. Either the IP address is nto assigned or assigned IP is wrong. Not Bound in state"

Please advise.

OK

so the WLC is connected to a switch via a trunk which carry's multiple VLAN's like the employee vlan(which you are using for management).

And the AP is also connected to a different switch and the port its connected to is placed in the same employee VLAN right ?

Also is there DHCP running for the AP to get an IP adress ?

Did you add option 43 to dhcp from which AP get ip address?
