Hi guys,
I had to register a C9800-40 cluster to the company's smart account. These are the steps I followed:
1) set the correct license level (air-network-essentials + air-dna-essentials) on the active WLC (via GUI)
2) save & reload (both units rebooted)
3) created the token-id on the smart account and added it under Service Settings
WLCs are registered, I can see them online under Product Instances. However, I now find 2 Aironet DNA Advantage Term Licenses and 2 AP Perpetual Networkstack Essentials used.
The WLC cluster had 2 AP joined before step 1 and I did not reboot them.
2 questions:
1) how can I fix the license used by these APs?
2) what will happen when I join more APs to these WLCs? Will they get the essentials license as they should?
Thanks.
Dario

Sorry, I just rebooted the APs and launched license smart sync all... the licenses aligned.

- Good work ; below are a series of command which can be useful when verifying licenses :
show license air entities summary
show license status
show license summary
show license tech support
show tech-support license
