WLC Rest API

Hi Guys, 
need your help
we plan a big project with 9000 APs and 4 WLC 8510 ,  Goal : WIFI OBJECT TRACKING

now we are in test phase , we  have cisco Prime with maps of all buildings and exact location of APs. and also CMX , everything is ok ! WLC sends data to Prime and CMX !  and we can track all wifi objects ,  any wifi object who enters or leaves or connect we get a notification  from CMX in JSON format ,  like this :

actually exact location of wifi object is not importand to us  ! we need to get MAC address of wifi objects who enter to our coveraged area or leaved or   connected for how long !
but we have to pay a lot of money for prime and cmx license , 

is there any way to get these informations directly from WLC ?

Hi Mehran,

You can use a third-party SNMP trap receiver/poller to get some of that information. In the GUI under Management->SNMP you can configure the receiver then configure the Trap Controls to send alerts for various things like Client Association/Disassociation.

You would have to then use that data to work out your client movements I guess.

From a polling perspective, assuming the MIBs are available you can poll for particular things but I don't know if client stats are at all available through that.
