WLC wireless with ISE 1.2 - Guest Wireless

Bilal Nawaz

Hello Team,

We have the cwa on our wlc's working fine to ISE for guest wireless (using the mac filtering method). Only problems are that the guest portal page does not come up automatically, we have to "browse" to google or something on the iphone / mac in order to get the etc... And clients that connect and do not authenticate end up hogging an ip address.

Any help is appreciated.

Bilal

Hi Bilal,

Have you enabled "config network web-auth captive-bypass enable" on the WLC ?

Try disabling the same then the browser should auto launch

When 'enabled' you have to manually open a webpage to get the screen. When 'disabled' it will auto launch .. - See more at: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12357236/cisco-wlc-config-network-web-auth-captive-bypass-enable#sthash.Nd1FUPOO.dpuf

Hi Vinu, thanks for reply. I'll check it later today, i think if it is enabled i'll have to reboot the WLC which can only be done when no one is using wireless.

I think with the IP address hogging, if the user doesn't authenticate, the device should not connect. Maybe there is some sort of timer setting on the SSID to drop devices off if they haven't authenticated?
