WLSE: Rogue AP Detection Setting does NOT work

I enabled the Rogue AP Detection setting to an RSSI value of -80 dBm, but it did not work. The WLSE (2.11) keeps reporting rogue APs from nearby buildings with weak signals (RSSI values down to -100). Thus our WLSE is almost worthless for generating countless false-positives.

I called TAC, but has not received input yet.

thanks,

Audie

What IOS version is running on these APs?. There is a bug CSCsa32966 in earlier versions fixed in 12.3(4)JA, that may cause many such false-positives

The APs managed by WLSE are not detected as rogue ones, but the APs outside our buildings.

Our APs IOS version is 12.2(15)JA.

thanks

There is a bug in 12.3(4)JA that stops authentication to the WLSE due to an arp issue, so even if 12.3(4)JA solves your problem, you might want to wait until the ARP issue is resolved.
