WMP54g - Can't get my PCI WIFI adapter to install

i have downloaded every version of drivers available from linksys and to no avail. i cannot get my PCI adapter to install with windows 7 32 bit or even on a 64 bit system. it worked fine on windows xp...and i asssume  since the drivers are old (v 4.1 is the latest version) that its not made for the new versions of windows. i dont understand why theres no recent version for the newer OS  ..... if someone can let me kno if they can get theres to install let me kno
