We are deploying Cisco AP1232AG with IOS rev 12.3(2)JA2. The clients Are using either the Cisco PCI cards or the Cisco Cardbus adapters, driver rev 1.2.0.3.
We are deploying WPA/TKIP.
This works stable. However, we have quite a few clients who are using a lot of bandwidth (i.e X11 / Xceed to Unix servers, large downloads via FTP or SCP). For these clients the connection suddenly stops and they do not get a packet out any more until they reauthenticate. Neither the Aironet Desktop Utility nor the Accesspoint show any error. Also the troubleshooting tool of the ADU claims that everything is still O.K.. The only sign is that the name of the AP disappears from the conection summary of the ADU.
The same applications run fine if we install tools on the desktop to limit the bandwidth they are using to i.e. 80%. But, this cannot be a long term solution.
What could we do? QoS on the APs? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

This chapter provides information for diagnosing and correcting common problems that may occur when you install and operate the client adapter.

We had some problems with 12.3(2) in our Lab wireless network ... some related to earlier generation ('b') radios.
As a start, if at all possible, I'd recommend updating the IOS to at least 12.3(4) (12.3(7) is current as of mid-August).
Since we've moved to 12.3(4) (then (7), the system has been very stable.
Good Luck
