Wrong WLAN mapping on anchor controller

One WLC is serving multiple sites with different QoS requirements. So we have multiple WLAN profiles with the same SSID, L2 policy open. All of them are anchored at the same anchor WLC. There are the same WLAN profiles with the same IDs at the anchor. Clients can access the network with no problem.

But, all of the clients are assigned to the same WLAN profile at the anchor regardless the WLAN ID at the foreign WLC.

Even in my lab. There are WLAN "mywlan" ID 100 SSID "something" at the anchor and WLAN "yourwlan" ID 111 SSID "something" at the foreign WLC. Cliens are able to connect regardless the WLAN name and ID is different.

Is it a bug or feature? It doesn't make sense as a feature. How can I separate those clints at the anchor?

Tested on 7.6.130 and 8.0.110, 5508 anchor, WiSM2 foreign

I have opened it on the TAC. Here is the answer:

Actually this scenario has been filed as an enhancement defect under https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCub68067/?reffering_site=dumpcr . further explanation on this is that when anchor start to search for the WLAN, it matches the SSID name only and not the profile nor the ID, so the first hit that returns on the anchor, the client will be assigned to that.

...

Actually this is not fixed yet since it’s a feature request, if you need this to be fixed, you can contact your account manager and he will get directly with the BU team to integrate this in a special fix or in official fix.
